The Colony Palms Hotel & Bungalows
retro. quiet. glamorous.
Palm Springs, CA
A hideaway for Hollywood stars back in the 1950s, The Colony Palms Hotel & Bungalows is located in Palm Springs’ Movie Colony neighborhood, and if you weren’t looking hard enough, you could miss it. The facade is modest, but with a few footsteps down the hallway entrance, guests are welcomed into a posh, country club-esque retreat with lush foliage, pops of green, and pinstripes galore.
A turquoise, palm tree-lined pool deck sits as the center of the property, with the newly redesigned restaurant The Colony Club flanking the east side of it. Upon check-in, guests are greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne and an engraved gold nameplate that is later placed on their guest room door. The interiors of the rooms are simply spectacular, thanks to celebrity designer Steve Hermann, who recently bought and renovated the hotel. Each of the 57 rooms features bold wallpaper, velvet furnishings and amenities like Le Labo bath products, Nespresso coffee machines, and Italian Frette robes and linens.
Venture outside your room for a poolside spritz, treat your senses to a Lemongrass Body Scrub at the spa or cozy up in one of the private nooks with fire pits sprinkled around the property. The Colony Palms is as glam and exclusive as they come.
Getting there: The Colony Palms Hotel & Bungalows is an eight-minute drive from Palm Springs International Airport.
Room rates vary between $350-$900 depending on the season.
